
Aims
The Spanish Ministry of Culture and the Australian National University have signed an agreement to foster cultural and research links between Australia and Spain to encourage ever deeper friendship and cultural cooperation between the peoples of our two countries.
Organisation
Applications are open once a year and the decision on the grants is made by an Executive Committee, who meets once a year.
The Executive Committee is formed by representatives of the Australian National University and the Grant Administrator, the Ministry of Culture of Spain, the Embassy of Spain and scholars in Hispanic culture resident in Australia.

Applicants
Any person, physical or legal, whatever his/her nationality, who resides in Australia or in Nauru, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
Eligible projects
Any cultural project implemented in Australia or in Nauru, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu, which has a link with Spain, preferrably present day Spain.
Grants
The cooperation program covers up to 50% of the costs of a proyect. The remaining 50% should be provided by any other legal or physical person, from either the private or public sector, of any nationality but, preferably Austalian. Is the responsibility of the applicant to look for this coosponsor.
Presentation of applications
The deadline for applications is 1 May 2008.
Decision
The successful applicants will be announced in July.
